Family Room and Kitchen

KITCHEN: Some kitchens call themselves "Gourmet" . . . but this one really is!! A fabulous full redesign and installation was completed in 2007. The rare and exotic Red Metal granite slab are showcased by gorgeous custom Rosewood cabinets which have convenient pull-out shelves. The 48" SubZero side-by-side Refrigerator/Freezer, the Miele Dishwasher and the Trash Compactor utilize custom integrated cabinetry. The Six-Burner Viking-built Electric Induction cooktop, a Miele Convection Microwave oven, Miele Steamer and the Miele oven featuring convection, regular and roast probe plus the Miele Warming Drawer make getting that special meal prepared a breeze.

The large kitchen island features a bull nosed Red Metal granite slab and makes meal preparation and serving simple and convenient. The large Greenhouse window overlooking the Valley allows natural light to pour in creating a happy and sunny atmosphere. Ambient lighting comes from Halogen ceiling lights, under cabinet lighting and display lighting in the custom glass-front built-in buffet. There is a cheery bay window Breakfast Room adjacent to the kitchen with a large pantry adjoining. Rosewood flooring highlight the kitchen and breakfast room.

FAMILY ROOM: The Family Room has a double-door entry which, when open, makes it very accessible to the flow of the house; and, when closed, makes it private enough for musical recitals, quiet readings or the noisiest Super Bowl Party! This beautifully proportioned room of 22' x 18' features two oversized sliding doors leading to the back patio area and a recently redone fireplace with a Blue Louise granite surround and custom hand-carved Rosewood Mantel. The light-filled room is due, in part, to the Stained Glass skylight which highlights the 12' ceiling beautifully.
